Natale a Milano

Zero Due - Corso di Porta Ticinese; Via Cesare Correnti; Biffi - Corso Genvoa; Anna Ravazzoli - Corso Genova; Biffi - Corso Genvoa; Corso Vittorio Emanuele

Just a small taste of Christmas time in Milan - the decorations and lights are always impressive to me, particularly the lit trams that pass!

I'll head back to New York tomorrow (for a couple of weeks) and will be sad to leave, but glad that I was able to enjoy this time here after graduation for a few days, and say goodbyes to friends that have parted Milan for good...

Tanti baci e auguri!

Meet Me in Madrid

After an incredible five days in the magical city of Madrid, I'm back in Milan (without paella, Mercado San Miguel, and the prices at Zara)!  I especially loved the Mario Testino exhibit at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, and of course the Museo del Traje (Milan has nothing to compare to this)!  I loved the city, and will definitely be visiting again (along with Barcelona)!

These days also mark the end of MAFED, my Master's program at Bocconi - more bitter than sweet - as I really can't bear the thought of not seeing the people that I've spent nearly everyday with during the past year!  However I certainly plan to make the most of next week's celebrations...

Via Della Spiga

Even the name itself is quintessentially posh: Via Della Spiga, certainly a favorite of mine in Milan.  On Sunday a couple of friends and I visited D&G's new multi-brand store for emerging designers, Spiga2.  As my photos reflect, it was quite typically D&G: the decor, the atmosphere, even the lighting.  I think it's an ideal setting for showcasing the collections of new designers, and I loved the café upstairs!

I was also able to capture a trend that I'm especially fond of at the moment: high socks showing above tall boots.  With a classic trench and Gucci bag paired perfectly with this look, I found this woman to be particularly chic.

Baci e a presto!

Brera Magic

I had forgotten the potential of fog in Milan until yesterday - it's incredible how prominent it is during the fall in this city.

Luckily I was able to capture a few great photographs around Brera, the most charming neighborhood here in Milan, in my opinion.

A few objectives for today: more photography, selecting a new perfume, and finding the best shirt dress to match these newly purchased pair of Calzedonia thigh high socks:

Have a wonderful weekend!

A presto,
Whitney
